Wine appellations start to play a bigger role in the promotion of Sonoma County wines as wine labels become regulated. Returning to levels of 24,000 acres from the 1920s (9,700 ha.). The process of designing a wine label for a new wine requires legal authorisation. The Wineries are subject to regulations set by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). As a result, you may buy Sonoma County wines with confidence knowing that the bottle contains wine of the highest caliber.
