1944 - Napa Valley’s seven wineries made the decision to collaborate in order to produce the greatest wine possible.

Seven vineyards chose to collaborate in order to produce the greatest wine possible as Napa Valley recovered from the twin blows of phylloxera and Prohibition. In order to create the Napa Valley Vintners Association, which today represents 525 wineries and annually contributes more than $15 million for the neighborhood, they signed a memorandum of understanding.
