September 9, 2006: On this day, A Good Year, directed by Ridley Scott, was released. The film follows a former banker as he revisits an inherited vineyard in Provence where he spent his childhood vacations. His attempts to ready the property for sale are interrupted by a mysterious woman, a young girl claiming to be his daughter, and his own nostalgia. The film is partially based on a 2004 novel that shares its name, written by Peter Mayle.
September 9, 2009: On this day, the chemical characterization of wild ferment wines was further advanced through discovery. Chemicals resulting from aromatic fermentation. According to research conducted in this day, the primary difference between wines produced by natural fermentation and those produced through monoculture inoculation may be explained by esters, alcohols, and volatile fatty acids.
September 9, 2012: On this day, the inaugural Pinot Palooza festival began. To date, it has taken place in multiple countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S.A. You can find international cuisine; live performances; historical sites; exclusive wines, and an attendee vote on the favorite producer in each city. Though it went on hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is returning once more in 2022.
