27th November Every Year: The world celebrates Zinfandel Day on this day.

November 27, 1932: Castilla-La Mancha wine region was established in Spain. Best known as the setting for Don Quixote, it is the largest wine region in the country (and Europe), and produces many varieties of grapes. La Mancha is also a significant producer of barley, garlic, and saffron.
