November 14, 1994: Hatten wine appellation was designed and established on this day. Ida Bagus Rai Budarsa, a native of Bali who has a passion for wine, established Hatten Wines.
November 14, 2008: The movie Story of Wine was released in South Korea. The film follows Min-sung, owner of a wine bar, as he assembles a tasting menu of wines that pair with the stories of the bar, the people who frequent it, and their relationships.
November 14, 2017: The book The New Wine Rules was published. Jon Bonné breaks down simple principles for anyone to find, purchase, and enjoy a bottle of wine through brief rules, such as “A wine’s price rarely reflects its quality. Drink rosé any time of year. Don’t save a great bottle for anything more than a rainy day” (John Bonné’s website).
