May 21, 1917: On this day, William Raymond Stacy Burr (known in brief as Raymond Burr) was born. Burr had a lengthy acting career, in which he starred in the television shows Ironside and Perry Mason. His Hollywood parts were primarily villainous, such as his role in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. He founded Raymond Burr Vineyards in Dry Creek Valley, California. He passed away on September 12, 1993
