March 23, 1936: Bernard Magrez was born. Magrez is a wine magnate and owns wineries and vineyards around the world. His list of French Châteaux is extensive and includes Château Pape Clément, Château Fombrauge, Clos Haut-Peyraguey, and Château Le Sartre.
March 23, 2005: Mondovino was released in New York. The documentary investigates the impact of globalization on local wine cultures, the homogenization of wine styles as a result of wine personalities’ reviews and expressed preferences, and the values of large producers as opposed to traditional, boutique and family-run vineyards.
March 23, 2015: UNCTAD and the FAO, funded by the Government of Italy, held the workshop ‘Making Geographical Indications Work for Myanmar’ in Yangon to help build GI frameworks.
March 23, 2021: Wine Time: 70+ Recipes for Simple Bites That Pair Perfectly with Wine was published. Written by cookbook author Barbara Scott-Goodman, the book presents a wide range of dishes appropriate to various occasions and the perfect wines to pair with them.
