June 30, 2021: Osaka gained its Geographical Indication (GI) status on this day due to the wine-producing vineyards in the Kashiwara and Habikino in southern Osaka. The name of the geographical area designated was Osaka Prefecture.

June 30, 2021: On this day, Nagano in the Nagano Prefecture gained its Geographical Indication (GI) status from the Japanese National Tax Agency. The Nagano Prefecture may be found right in the middle of Japan’s main island in Japan. The magnificent environment and vineyards are encircled by towering mountains that reach a height of around 3,000 meters. In the prefecture of Nagano, the local government promotes four different areas and may be found in one of the significant large basins. The collective name for these four sub-regions is “Shinshu Wine Valley.” Shinshu is an archaic term that’s been used interchangeably with Nagano.
