June 22, 1998: Diablo Grande AVA was established. The AVA is located in Stanislaus County and is fully owned by Diablo Grande Resort. The appellation encompasses 30000 acres of land, of which 36 are under vines. The appellation derives its name from Mt. Diablo, the largest mountain in the Pacific Coast Range. Its key grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Sangiovese.

June 22, 2003: On this day, Silverlake was granted protection for its goods situated in the Hua Hin Hills in Khao Yai, Thailand, under the geographical indications (GI) system.

July 22, 2009: On this day, Upper Mississippi River Valley officially gained American Viticultural Area (AVA) status.
