June 21, 2022: This day is World Lambrusco Day. The Italian wine Lambrusco received a poor reputation in the 70s and 80s due to a surge in industrialized production of cheap vintages with poor balances between alcohol content and sugar. Fortunately, there has since been an effort from dedicated winemakers to restore this wine to glory, respecting its true roots and its reliance on terroir.
