December 24, 1914: The unofficial Christmas Truce began along the Western Front on Christmas Eve 1914 after the First Battle of Ypres.

December 24, 1947: Michel Rolland was born. He is an oenologist who works in Bordeaux. He has hundreds of customers in 13 countries and has an impact on wine styles all over the world. He is different from most of his fellow French people because he does important consult work outside of France. Through his consultancy work and appearances in the media, Michel Rolland has changed many parts of the French and international wine industries.
