December 15, 1919: In Hamilton v. Kentucky Distilleries & Warehouse Co., the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the War-Time Prohibition Act.
December 15, 1936: U.S. Code-Title 27 – Intoxicating Liquors was enacted. Initially set to prohibit the advertisement of liquors, it was applied later on to wines.
