April 20, 1808: Napoleon III was born. His full name was Charles-Louis Napoléon Bonaparte, and he became the French emperor after serving as president from 1848 to 1852. His reign as emperor spanned from 1852 to 1870. He was an appreciator of fine wine throughout his life.

April 20, 1934: Robert George “Bob” Wilmers was born. He was a millionaire banker from the United States, mainly affiliated with M&T Bank. In 1998, he bought Chateau Haut-Bailly, a winery in Bordeaux, France.

April 20, 2015: Lloyd Davis opened Corner 103, his downtown Sonoma tasting room at 103 West Napa Street, on 20 April 2015.
